It’s about Jack trying to teach Adam how to control his anger by using different techniques. This is a funny movie, however in all reality anger issues is by far means no laughing matter. Many people have anger issues and if they don’t address them they’ll just get worst.
Thousands of Americans each year suffer from anger management issues. The question becomes how does a person go about finding an appropriate anger management technique that will help them control their anger.
There are several methods that can be used in trying to deal with anger and help in the process of anger management. One of these methods is described as trying to reach an agreement with the person. Another method of anger management is to meditate along with deep breathing and trying to relax.
There are several useful methods that a Psychologist will teach you to deal with your anger management issues. The most commonly used method is the direct method. How the direct method works is, the person talks calmly with the person they are having anger issues with. It does not mean you shout or hurt the person; it merely means you speak like two adults to each other and let them know exactly how you feel inside.
Another method that is also a great method is the Honorable method. Many people struggle to accomplish this method at first. With this method it means you take responsibility for what you have done and you no longer make excuses for what you have done. So no more blaming others for your actions! This is a hard method to accomplish because many with anger issues have trouble admitting self failure or admitting they are lacking in certain area’s of there life.
The focused method of anger management is simply where you stick to the issue at hand, instead of bringing up issues that are not relevant to the issues at hand. This anger management technique is particularly useful in dealing with a person who may be trying to get you to see thing a different way than you currently see them.
With the listen method to anger management techniques instead of trying to out talk the person your having a problem with, you instead sit and listen to what they have to say. Once there finished you then explain your reasoning. If both of you are shouting or speaking at the same time nothing is being heard. One of you has to be the bigger person and just listen first then speak your mind after you have heard the other persons reasoning. Just remember when it’s your turn regardless if the other person has yelled or not, remain calm.
Anger management can only work if the person with the anger problem is will to work on the problem. If they do not think they have a problem, they will not participate whole hearted. This is the biggest hurtle to get over when it comes to recovering from anger problems.
Once you are able to apply these anger management techniques every time someone has made you mad; then you’ll no longer have anger issues. Other people involve in the conflicts with a person who has anger issues do need to understand that it takes two to tangle. It is the responsibility of both people involve in a conflict to keep there anger under control. If one has anger issues then the other person should not add to the issue.
