Over exposure to asbestos can result in a malicious form of cancer called mesothelioma. Unlike in other diseases, the victims are innocent people suffering for no fault of theirs. It takes several years after the exposure to asbestos to diagnose the disease. The reason is that the symptoms appear very late. Because of this the process of getting compensation and treatment becomes a lengthy complicated affair. The governments have been sympathetic to the victims and many laws are formulated to help the hapless victims. Without query, folks take prescribed drugs in order to feel better or to serve a positive purpose. Sadly, many medications have been released on a gullible public that have basically made people who were quite well seriously ill. The contraceptive, Yasmin, is one of these tablets. Hundreds of women have reported moderate to serious side effects after taking the drug, and many are wondering why there has not been a Yasmin recall yet. You’d think that the FDA would get involved in policing a medication that is being proved to cause heart attacks, strokes, and even death, and that it might force Bayer, the company that produces Yasmin, to recall the defective pills. So far, this hasn’t happened.
